Ken 111Ken Serwinski is the CEO/Senior Managing Director of Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc., a recognized leader in providing financial advisory services to middle market companies. The firm designs and implements customized ownership succession strategies, including private sales, management buyouts, and ESOPs. Integral to the firm’s practice is its valuation capabilities which provide a basis for succession planning, ESOPs, estate and gift tax filings, fairness opinions and a variety of other reasons.

Prior to forming this firm, Mr. Serwinski was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch Business Advisory Services. In his twelve year tenure with the firm, he initiated the succession planning strategy for the firm, was responsible for the management of Merrill Lynch’s middle market business development staff and headed the ESOP Advisory group.

In this executive role, he coordinated all merger and acquisition, ESOP and valuation assignments on a nationwide basis. This would include the managing of the professional staff, giving presentations to prospective clients, preparing key proposals, and the closing of large scale engagements. Additionally, Mr. Serwinski was involved in the valuation of both public and private companies in a wide variety of industries.

Before joining Merrill Lynch in January, 1984, he held various corporate and commercial finance positions for LaSalle National Bank, Manufacturers Hanover Bank and Societe Generale, a French bank.

Mr. Serwinski received his Master of Business Administration in International Business from DePaul University. He also received his B.S. in Commerce, with a concentration in Finance, from DePaul. Mr. Serwinski has attended numerous technical seminars emphasizing topics such as employee stock ownership plans, valuations, merger and acquisitions, accounting for acquisitions, and leveraged buyout transactions.

bryan_piskorowskiBryan Piskorowski is the Managing Director, Director of Business Development Strategy has worked with Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor firms for close to 15 years. Wells Fargo Advisors is one of the largest brokerages in the U.S. with more than 15,000 financial advisors and over $1 trillion in client assets. The Business Development Strategy team is responsible for disseminating investment advice and spearheading the firm’s key initiatives. Bryan’s group publishes daily and weekly market commentaries including a widely read daily market overview for Financial Advisors entitled Pisko Notes.

Prior to the formation of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2009, Bryan held several management roles in research, sales and marketing for Wachovia Securities in Richmond, Virginia and for Prudential Securities in New York City.

Mr. Piskorowski received his B.A. from Colgate University with an honors degree in history. He serves as a spokesman for Wells Fargo Advisors, making frequent appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg Television and is often quoted by the Associated Press, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and USA Today.
